Dogwood is made up of a group of people who are passionate about what we do and love being able to help organizations in our community succeed. This is the story of us!

Matt Wheeler is our Project Manager. His job is to do exactly what his title says – manage our projects! If your company needs a website, Matt is your go-to! He works hard to guide you through the entire process and ensure that you are satisfied every step of the way. After discussing with each client their wants and needs for the site, he will then do the work to get it done by bringing in our various experts.

Matt is also our director of print operations. After having worked in print shops for several years, he takes it upon himself to make sure that every print job is handled with care. Whether it’s banners, posters, flyers (he loves those!), or signs, Matt can fix you up!

Here is Matt’s Story:

Thomas, one of the co-owners of Dogwood, and Matt were close friends. As Thomas and Brian began to merge to form Dogwood, they knew that they needed someone to come on the team to help build websites and manage projects. Their need led them to Matt! At the time he was serving as the Print Lord for an Architecture & Engineering firm, but looking to advance in his career with the skills that he had learned from his previous jobs. He was most impressed with Dogwood’s commitment to do whatever could be done to ensure a client received the best service possible. The fit was perfect and the three set out to work! It wasn’t long before we began adding even more to the team.

Matt has continued to grow in his skills since being at Dogwood. Knowing how to manage people and projects is an eternal learning process. His professionalism, ability to build and design websites, and leadership skills have all increased since joining the team. He’s a hard worker and cares deeply about his clients. It is his desire, as is the rest of the Dogwood team, to see successful projects started and finished with happy clients ready to bring in new customers!

If you were to ask Matt what he believes is the most valuable service that Dogwood offers, he would say that there isn’t just one he could choose (though printing might be his favorite!) Instead, it is the option to solve whatever problem a client may have.

Matt, Mr. Personality:

Matt is quite the office jokester. He keeps things fun, lighthearted and everyone laughing (most the time!) When you think about the personality of Dogwood, a large part of that comes from Matt. He works hard day in and day out, but he knows how to have fun. He cares a lot about his work, his coworkers, and Dogwood as a whole, but it wouldn’t be Matt if he didn’t pick on those he was closest to!

There are far too many funny stories to share about Matt. He’s always doing silly things. One day he decided he wanted to stand up while working. Since we have desks that can be raised or lowered based on your height or whether you are sitting or standing, he decided he was going to put it up as high as it would go. In the process, he changed his mind and decided he’d rather stay sitting. So, he sat in his desk with it at its highest height and reached as far as he could to continue working. It didn’t make much sense, but it gave us all a chuckle. Here’s proof
