Dogwood Media Solutions is proud to announce that we have achieved Google Partner status. From the beginning, this was a goal that we have intentionally sought to achieve and as of this month were awarded.
Google describes the Google Partners program as a “marketing program for advertising agencies or third-parties that manage Google Ads accounts on behalf of other brands or businesses.”
This is not a new program but was developed and launched in 2013 to provide Partners with the tools, resources, and support to enable them to grow so they can help advertisers succeed.
So what does this mean for you? It means that we know what we are doing when it comes to running your digital ads on the Google platform – something we’ve known of course but can now say is official.
So what does Google look for in order to determine if you are a Google Partner? Here’s the breakdown:
Performance
Google wants to make sure that we are responding to issues with ads and maintaining campaigns constantly. They regularly give us recommendations that help us to identify new opportunities to improve your campaign performance. The minimum score is 70% optimization.
Meeting the minimum score of 70% optimization shows that we are in control, with the ability to apply or dismiss recommendations based on our assessment of our client’s goals. Our company goal is to stay above 90% which we have achieved.
Spend
Google wants to see that you are managing a minimum budget of $10,000.00 over a 90 calendar-day period. I am glad to say that this is not an issue!
Certifications
Google offers professional accreditation to individuals who demonstrate proficiency in ads on Google. The minimum is 2 users certified in search or display, with at least 1 user in each. Our account must maintain a minimum of 50% of our account strategist certified.
Currently, our company has 3 individuals certified to run your Google Ads. Three are certified for display ads, and two are certified for search ads. By the end of this summer, our goal is to have 6 individuals certified, all in both display and search. We will also start working for our certifications in video, shopping, and apps.
So what’s next?
Dogwood’s goal is to be in the top 3% of participating companies so that we can become a Premier Google Partner. The top 3% is evaluated based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: annual ads spend across managed accounts, client growth, client retention, and product diversification. It’s a big goal, but we like a challenge at Dogwood.
If you aren’t running digital ads to promote your business – let’s have a conversation to evaluate which platform is best for you. Sometimes Google isn’t the right place. It’s just one of the many options that we have in our toolbox. But you can rest assured that we know how to manage digital ads with this new status as a Google Partner!
